Farm Brothers Kids (Jules the Strooper)

Sampling healthy cookies yields happy faces!

Healthy food for children is a growing market, but how do you make sure your product stands out? Farm Brothers Kids, with their healthy cookies under the name Jules de Strooper, targets children between the ages of 3 and 8. To reach this young target group and their parents and encourage trial use, Farm Brothers Kids looked for an effective and fun way to hand out samples.

Approach & Results

Lime Factory set up a targeted sampling campaign in Belgium, where we distributed the cookies at locations where families with children can be found: Zoos, Children's Playparks, Amusement Parks and Swimming Pools.

We selected channels where consumers have time to enjoy the product and where the mindset fits a responsible snack.

The approach resulted in many positive responses, both from channels and consumers:

  • The test samples were "definitely a success" and customers "raved about the look and feel of the product."
  • In one location, the stock ran out within three days.
  • Kids liked them and were excited, and so were their parents, because "These days, nothing is free."
  • Visitors found the cookies "tasty and healthy!"
  • One park expressed interest in purchasing the products and selling individual bags.

By sampling from the right channels, Farm Brothers Kids was able to successfully and enthusiastically distribute the healthy cookies to the target audience and collect immediate, positive feedback.
