Sampling is a powerful mechanism to create more awareness and increase conversions. But how do you make sure that after sampling people actually buy? You can do this by setting up an all-round activation campaign. Part of such an all-round campaign are: sampling, store floor activation and receipt discount. Are you curious about such a campaign? In this case of Maoam we explain how we work.

We set up an all-round activation campaign for Maoam. We work with various activation mechanisms that reinforce each other. We started with a sampling campaign at 150 different supermarkets in the Netherlands. The consumer was surprised at the checkout with a free sample and a flyer. On this flyer the money back action was mentioned.

After this campaign we placed a display in the participating stores. These displays were placed at high traffic locations in the store. To stimulate the action, we placed two floor stickers there, one in front of the trade and one in front of the display. These displays contained the four participating Maoam flavors and Maoam branded beach ball sets. When purchasing two packs, consumers received a free set.

In addition, our money back action ran, through our own platform: receipt discounting. Consumers can easily get the purchase amount of a Maoam package back. The consumer takes a picture of the receipt and uploads it to kassabonkorting.nl. After that, the money will be refunded to his or her bank account. The money back action was communicated through the flyer during sampling, placement on kassabonkorting.nl and mailing.
