Interview with Claudia van den Berg
at Flora Design
In recent years we have been able to carry out a lot of great sampling campaigns. This would not have been possible without our great channels. That is why this month we put the spotlight on a channel that has carried out a nice sampling campaign. Flora Design is a successful flower shop in Apeldoorn.
For Lipton Herbal we sampled, among others, at Flora Design. Consumers received a free chilled sample Lipton Herbal including a flyer with every purchase of flowers. Consumers can use the flyer to give their opinion about the product and thus have a chance to win free flowers every month for a year.
Claudia van den Berg has been an independent entrepreneur and owner of Flora Design for almost 25 years. Flora Design is a creative company that is always open to new challenges and trends and is a bit different than usual.
Claudia talks about the sampling campaign of Lipton Herbal in her flower shop: “The Lipton cans fit nicely into the whole of the store. There was also a nice branded fridge at the counter. That immediately invites!” Claudia had also been creative herself to do justice to the campaign. She says: “We created a nice setting in the window shop and outdoor presentation in combination with crockery and accessories. We used exactly the same colors and it fits well with the style of the campaign. It had become a very cheerful whole. We are happy to adapt the window shop to the product, so the knife cuts both ways!”
Claudia notes that many consumers also immediately ask where the product is available. The different flavors were a success. As a tip she adds: “Maybe a funny postcard would be nice for a next promotion or a small branded bag where you can put the sample.”

Finally, Claudia concludes that the sampling campaign is a nice addition to the checkout, consumers always like to get something suitable in combination with the warm weather last summer. Amazing!”
